2010/02/03 MoreIn November 2009 the number of landline broadband subscriptions increased by 18,000 to 1,742,000 – the National Communications Authority (NHH) reports. 2010/01/28 Moren November 2009, the number of households with digital television subscriptions in the network of Hungary’s fourteen largest broadcasters rose to 1,118,000, an increase of nearly 10,000, states the flash report released by the National Communications Authority (NHH).
2010/01/28 MoreIn recent years buying ring tones, games, videos, news, and other text content with premium rate ‘push/pull’ text (SMS) messages has become a very popular service for consumers and a multi-billion business for distributors of such content. Consumers can subscribe for such premium rate ‘push/pull’ text messages at the relevant content providers; however, service terms and conditions are often unclear. Users are frequently unaware — and often at no fault of their own — of the fact that they have placed an order for a continuous service, sometimes multiple text messages a week, which could cost them several thousand forints every week. To improve the safety of mobile telephone use, the National Communications Authority (NHH) has tightened rules on the distribution of premium rate ‘push/pull’ text (SMS) messages, and the Representative of Communications Consumer Rights (HFJK), joining the initiative launched by the Hungarian Mobile Marketing and Content Industry Association (MMTE), will contribute to the establishment of the website www.MobilozzOkosan.hu (be a smart mobile user).
2010/01/25 MoreThe growth of the Hungarian mobile market slowed down last year. The number of clients at the three service providers have decreased by approximately 432,000 to 11,792,000 within a year. However, the number of clients with monthly subscriptions among these clients has increased by 363,000 – the National Communications Authority of Hungary (NHH) reports.
