Prime Minister Gordon Bajnai has appointed Krisztina Rozgonyi President of the Board of the National Communications Authority (NHH) as of 1 February 2010.
The continuity of the professional activity of NHH is ensured by the appointment of the new President who takes the place of Dániel Pataki leaving his office on 31 January. Krisztina Rozgonyi has been on the Board of NHH since 2004 and was its Vice-President since autumn 2006. The new President was appointed by the Prime Minister for the period lasting until the end of the mandate of the retiring President, i.e. until 31 December 2013.
Following her appointment, Krisztina Rozgonyi said: “My goal is to enable the National Communications Authority, under my guidance, to preserve its professional independence and reputation, and to remain one of the exemplary institutions of the Hungarian regulatory sector. We continue to manage digital transition, to develop the regulatory practices aimed at enabling the market entry and expansion of new generation networks and services, and, in addition, we wish to put an even stronger emphasis on establishing the conditions for consumer awareness in the fields regulated by us.”
